Materials
Round plastic container, Rubbermaid #6 or #9 works well but hard to find. I use a round juice container from the dollar store. I did have a hard time finding a container.
Thick, strong roll of white paper towels (I have heard it has be Bounty but I have used others Viva, Walmart brand, Scotts, etc. They all seem to work about the same but do make sure they are heavier duty)
Sharp knife (or electric knife) to cut paper towel roll in half. (Best results with my electric knife. You need to have clean cut or you little paper bits everywhere)
2 cups water that has been boiled and cooled to room temperature
2 Tablespoons baby shampoo or baby wash (I prefer body wash over the shampoo..less grimey. I hate to throw out name brands but this does seem to have effect. I like Aveno Baby Wash or Johnson & Johnson Baby Wash.)
1 Tablespoon baby oil
Directions:
1. Cut the roll of paper towels in half with a knife and remove the inner cardboard core.
2. Boil water and let cool then mix ingredients. (I think boiling makes them stay wetter moist longer)
3. Place the paper towels in the container with the cut side facing downward.
4. Secure lid tightly and allow to sit until all liquid is absorbed into the paper towels.
5. Turn the container upside-down and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
6. Open container and 'start' the roll by pulling a towel from the inside of the roll.
7. Wipes are now ready to use.
Additional Tips:
Make sure the container is closed tightly after each use to prevent drying out. If you don't use them a lot there is a possiblity even with a tight lid of them becoming sort of dry. I use them very fast so rarely do I have that problem.
When your baby is older and his skin is less sensitive, you can add about a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol to the mix. This helps them not dry out so fast.

First of all LOVE the picture of your kiddos up top. Darling. My SIL Melinda made her own baby wipes with a similar recipe. Way to go!!!
